What will he think of next?\u00a0 A bunch of feral cats live out of our neighbours\u2019 barn because they feed them to keep the mice population down.\u00a0 One young white and black cat awakens each day looking for trouble. We watched him one morning scampering up a very tall tree after a black squirrel. The next day we saw him easily climb up a tree to sniff out the suet container hanging from a branch.\u00a0 Another day we sat laughing at our kitchen table when we had spied him sitting high up on an evergreen branch.\u00a0 I guess he was disguising himself as a bird to catch one. Then last week while Gary was sitting at his computer near our bedroom window, he looked out and saw this crazy guy looking back at him while sitting on a portion of our roof. A more recent daring trick was to energetically climb up the tallest tree at the end of our backyard.\u00a0 He kept climbing and climbing until he was at the very top \u2013 that would be about 30 feet high! No fear there.\u00a0 He sniffed out the squirrel or raccoon nest he discovered while apparently enjoying the view, possibly getting a new perspective on life.\u00a0 Before he quickly came down, he decided to sharpen his claws on a nearby branch \u2013 a good thing to do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A favourite verse of many is Philippians 4:13, \u201cI can do all this through him who gives me strength.\u201d\u00a0 This feline \u201cwonder\u201d has a great attitude; he believes he is in charge of his world and can eventually capture that tasty bird for dinner by whatever means it takes. I have named him Super Cat. Oh, to be like him just a little bit in some ways with God\u2019s help! \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our charity, Kainos International Ministries, donated some funds at the beginning of this month to our friend, Thomas, in Myanmar.\u00a0 He is trying to establish a pig farm for income to support his ongoing ministry.\u00a0 We were excited to learn last week that he has been able to purchase 10 piglets and one sow.\u00a0 He is well on his way.\u00a0 Please pray that he will be able to find a cheaper home to rent.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week we mailed out our 9th<\/sup> letter of communication to our Milton contacts.\u00a0 Please pray that the recipients will take the time to read it.\u00a0 Scott Lockhart has submitted an application for the Canada Summer Jobs Program for this year.\u00a0 Please pray that the application will be approved.\u00a0 We already have two young ladies interested in working for us again.\u00a0 If you know of a student who wants some part-time work, let us know.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks for your continued interest in our lives as we all cope with our lockdown state.\u00a0 Our daughter-in-law in Moosonee received her first COVID shot Monday so there is hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
