Did you know that one of their favourite treats is unfrozen peas? We are all looking forward to seeing her fluffy little ones hatched. She will then take them down to the nearby river bank where she will look after them for the next 45-60 days. After that period, they will be on their own. Hopefully, they won’t be snatched away by some hungry coyotes, hawks or owls. I was surprised to learn that the couples don’t mate for life. The male will be on the lookout for another female next spring.

Scott Lockhart is still connecting with Heritage students in preparation for the upcoming Milton Summerfest in June. Sadly, we didn’t get a booth so we will probably join forces with The Fellowship of Christian Farmers Canada who hand out Walking Sticks at such events.

Please pray for Scott and Chrissy as the Children’s Aid Society has asked them again to take in the five-year old boy who had lived with them last year for four months. They already have had his two-year old sister for almost a year. Both of these siblings have disabilities and really need a lot of protection and patience. This will be a big challenge for the whole Lockhart family along with trying to find a larger vehicle to meet their transportation needs.

Thomas in Myanmar has been able to add eight piglets to help further his farming business along for more self-sufficiency. They will definitely require good care and protection against any predators. Last year he only had two piglets. He is still working on gaining permission to keep his orphanage for his nine growing orphans.

The topic of protection throughout the Bible and its 52 verses surrounding that idea is an interesting study to delve more deeply into. For instance, 2 Thessalonians 3:3 comments, “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” I’m sure we don’t have any idea how much the Lord really does protect us from one day to the next. That’s a great reason why following Jesus and his commands is a very worthwhile pursuit.

Enjoy the spring with its beautiful flowers!

Wendy

Wendy.carter@kainos.org

https://myanmarorphans.ca; https://youtu.be/JcQXJOwlS4s

https://youtube.com/@breakthroughpathways.

Thechosen.tv

“Oh, aren’t they cute!” I exclaimed to our neighbour across the street. She was showing off the pair of ducks, probably Mallard, that decided to set up house-keeping under a couple of trees at the front corner of her house that is undergoing renovations. The female laid eight eggs (the same size of the eggs […]

[1

post-579","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
