On a Prayer Roll
Nov 30
Do you ever feel as if your prayers are not being answered? When they are answered how does that make you feel? Recently out of the blue, God definitely sent some great answers for the Lockhart family. Thanks for your help. A month ago, Chrissy started her new job as Executive Director for a crisis pregnancy centre (aidtowomen.ca) in Toronto and seems to be doing quite well at it. She has a passion to help ladies in trouble. This organization encourages them to keep their babies and will help supply their needs for two years with e.g. diapers, formula etc. Chrissy even gets to work at home a few days a week.
On Saturday November 16, the Lockharts moved into a semi-detached rental (2400 sq ft) with four bedrooms. Apparently, their new landlord took a liking to them even with their ongoing financial struggles. Their previous landlady wanted to sell the townhome (1000 sq ft) they were living in by the end of the year, but they didn’t fathom how quickly this whole process would come together. Now they just have to find a spot for all their belongings. This place is so much bigger and better for entertaining guests. Scott is planning on making a studio in the basement to create videos to keep connecting with Milton contacts and others. Thanks again for praying.
Our two Punjabi students are settling into their new jobs very well. One is working as a grocery cashier and the other selling PC credit cards. She knows she can attract five clients on a good day to increase her commissions. She is beginning to realize she can’t be lazy and just being satisfied with three sales. It is incredible that these young, vulnerable women moved to Canada from India last year two days before Christmas and have learned so much about our culture, language, climate and our church. Please pray that one day they will both have a desire to follow Jesus understanding all that would mean for them in their lives.
We would also ask your continued prayer for our friend Thomas and his family with eight orphans in Myanmar. This past month we were able to send him money to purchase rice as they were on their last bag. One day some acquaintances did stop by to surprise them with food which made the children very happy. Sadly, his motor bike has been stolen which he really depends on for his livelihood. He comments that it is like having no legs. He desperately needs it replaced (about $1000 CDN).
It was interesting to learn that my brother-in-law, Cam, and Brad, the treasurer of our charity, Kainos International Ministries, were both diagnosed with stage 4 cancer this past year. Now, both of their doctors can’t find the cancer. Is that due to better meds or answered prayer? I like the verse in I Peter 3:12 of the New Testament which records, “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.” May you get on a roll for your prayers being answered as well!
Merry Christmas, y’all! I am not too happy with the Canada Post strike. I guess you are not either during this time of the year.
Wendy

Thanks, Wendy, for your update. Obviously, there is a lot going on in your lives.
Have a very Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Wonderful 2025
